“Throne of Thorns” Season Update


 

Greetings, Hunters!

Gold and Glory is reopening with the brand-new Season 1:Throne of Thorns — starting September 10. This is a fully remastered season with brand-new maps, heroes, gameplay mechanics, and reworked systems. Prepare for a thrilling and challenging adventure like never before!


 

💥 Progress Reset and Return Gifts

  • Gold, items, and ranked progress have been reset. 
  • With the major system revamp, all players accounts above level 6, will be reset to level 6 so that players can experience the updated progression system and earn richer rewards.
  • Returning players will retain cosmetics and personal info
  • Returning players will receive a special gift pack. 


 

🧱 New Hero: Kazimir - Curse Knight

“I will hunt down the truth myself — no matter what it is.”

The Kazimir - Curse Knight joins the dungeon lineup. A frontliner wielding heavy weapons and iron chains to control and pull enemies into close combat.


 

🗺 New Map: Dark Cave Port

Unlockable via Mode Selection upon reaching the required level, this new map features distinct evacuation mechanics compared to Lotha Kingdom, along with new monsters, powerful boss enemies, exclusive drops, and unique gameplay elements


 

🔥 New Difficulty Added

A brutal new Inferno difficulty has been added—unlockable after reaching the required Hunter level, it offers richer rewards, fiercer enemies, and stands as the only path to progress beyond Glory rank, making it the ultimate challenge for seasoned treasure hunters

 

🏰 Lotha Kingdom Revamp

  • Lotha Kingdom has been expanded from the original 25 rooms to 36, with a more open layout.
  • Certain rooms are now packed with treasure. Look for yellow-highlighted rooms on the map to locate them quickly.
  • Hunters can now enter and exit a new underground area via abyss gate (red portal). Boss Diana resides here—defeat her to claim massive loot.
  • The former Dawn Sanctuary has been removed, and its boss has been relocated to the new underground area.
  • Fixed escape point and time-limited escape point are added In Challenge and Inferno difficulties of Lotha Kingdom. Track them via the minimap
  • Random event encounters now appear throughout Lotha Kingdom. Completing these events grants bounty gold which is not lost on death.
  • The Tangled Treasure appears randomly within Lotha Kingdom. Discovering it yields rich rewards.
  • In this season, Lotha Kingdom will also host exclusive limited-time events such as: Golden Patrol, Tree in the Box and Gargoyle Invasion. These events grant generous rewards, and a mystery surprise event will also be released for a limited time!
  • Several rooms have been renovated. A new type of Key Room has been introduced—unlock these rooms with keys to obtain the treasure inside.
  • The Health Restoration Shrine, Mana Shrine, and Speed Shrine now provide buffs to all teammates within range.


 

🌱 New System: Hunter Trials

New players begin as Apprentice Hunters, with all looted items automatically sold for gold—accumulate 25,000 gold to graduate into a full Treasure Hunter, unlocking an exclusive weapon skin and multi-hero access, while returning players will skip the trial and receive rewards directly.


 

🔥 New System: Bonfire Camp

The Bonfire Camp serves as the central hub for treasure hunters, where players can collect materials and complete challenges to upgrade camp levels and unlock powerful facility functions


 

⚔️ Alchemy and Forge System Update

A brand-new Alchemy and Forge system has been introduced to provide Treasure Hunters with the tools they need for daily survival and growth. Here, hunters can transform dungeon scraps into gold or convert them into rare treasures. The system also supplies essential potions and gear, supporting players from their earliest adventures all the way to their peak.


 

  • Forge now allows players to consume fuel and materials to forge a wide variety of weapons and equipment.
  • A new type of Fuel has been added and refreshes daily at 4:00 a.m.
  • Alchemy enables players to consume materials to produce potions and forging resources, which can be claimed after a short waiting period


 

💰 New Feature: Bounty Gold

  • Players can now earn extra gold by killing monsters or completing urgent events. These gold are retained even if evacuation fails.
  • Upgrading your Camp’s Sanctuary Spire increases gold yield from monster kills.


 

🆘 New Revive System

  • When teammates fall, they now enter a downed state for a limited time.
  • Other players can revive them by going to their location and revive them on the spot
  • Revived players will lose a portion of their maximum HP.
  • Resurrection Altars have been removed from the game.


 

📖 Mastery System Revamp

  • Hero skills are now tied to Mastery paths. Switching Mastery will also switch your heroes skill set.
  • Higher rarity equipment grants higher Mastery levels.
  • Addition of Mastery level, attain three, seven or twelve Mastery points to unlock new combat effects.


 

💨 Sprint Update

  • Sprint speed increased significantly, but it now consumes stamina.
  • Bonfire Camp upgrades can increase stamina capacity.


 

⚔️ Hero Balance Changes 


Removed customizable Passive Talent system. Each hero now has a fixed passive talent

Hero Skill Revamp:
Roland - Warrior: Specializes in crowd combat and deadly executions.
New skill 

  • Righteous Verdict: Leaps at the target for a powerful strike 
  • Claw Hook Charge: Uses a grappling hook to dash into distant enemies, dealing stun and slow


Arya - Ranger: Excels at enemy tracking and consistent ranged DPS.
New skill

  • Hunter’s Spirit: Summons 2 Wood spirits to track 2 enemy hunters, Deals damage and slow, exposing their location.
  • Nature’s Insight: Scans and reveal enemy location in a large area

Serene - Sage: Balanced healing and offensive capabilities.
New skill 

  • Light of Radiance: Deals holy damage to 2 nearby enemies and double damage to monsters
  • Radiant Volley: Charge and fire 5 holy damage missiles in the direction of your crosshair


Elio - Wizard: Uses fast combos for sustained control and damage.
New skill 

  • Blazing Storm: Deals flame damage 2 times to target area and apply burn
  • Cone of Ice: Throws an ice cone, dealing frost damage and applying Cold status
  • Frozen Domain: Deal frost damage and apply Cold status in front, freezes enemies afflicted with Cold


Silas - Rogue
New skill 

  • Blade Dancer: Spins forward and backwards with a blade, dealing damage. Can be cast again if an enemy is hit
  • Sever (Reworked): Perform 7 single target slashes dealing damage, enters Dodge state during the slashes


 

🗡 Weapon Adjustments

  • New Weapon: Broadsword Cleaver — a massive slashing weapon usable by Warrior and Curse Knight.

     
  • Merged:
    Knight Sword + Shield → Knight Sword and Shield
    Light Hammer + Round Shield → Light Hammer (with Shield)

     
  • Basic Attack Reworked: Light Crossbow
  • Weapon Skills Reworked: Dual Daggers, Heavy Axe, Giant Halberd, Two-handed Sword
  • Removed Weapon: Chain Blade


🛡 Equipment Overhaul

  • Equipment now generates fixed stat affix only.
  • Removed base stats like Strength, Vigor, Dexterity, Will, Wisdom — replaced with: Mastery Level, Physical Skill Power and Magic Skill Power


 

New Equipment Content: 

  • Mythic rarity (Red) Weapons can be obtained via in-game drop or Forge system. Mythic rarity would be non-tradeable.

     
  • Mythic rarity (Red) Armor added (available via forging or treasure hunt rewards; non-tradeable).
    • Warrior and Curse Knight are able to equip Plate Armor
    • Warrior, Rogue and Ranger are able to equip Leather Armor
    • Sage, Wizard, Plague Doctor are able to equip Cloth Armor
    • New equipment: Cloak
    • Removed all accessories


 

🧪 Consumables Rework

  • Healing Potion: Now heals instantly with a cooldown.
  • Bandages: Heal over time with durability that depletes on use.
  • New Consumables:
    • Arcane Tree Sap: Sustained HP regen over time.
    • Mixed Berry Juice: Temporarily boosts stamina cap and stamina regeneration  speed.
  • Removed: Throwing Knives, Throwing Axes, Meditation

     

🏅 Rank System Update

  • New top-tier rank: Legend Glory (unlocked after Glory 50 stars)
  • All modes grant rank points:

    Normal Mode → Rank points up to Gold Rank only
    Challenge Mode → Rank points up to Glory Rank only
    Only Inferno Mode gives rank point progression above Glory

     
  • Evacuated treasure value now affects rank point gains.

     


🎁 Treasure System Update 

  • Refreshed treasure value rewards such as Treasure Pouch and Keyring, Mythic rarity equipments
  • Added island-themed limited collectibles for this season.
  • Some Legendary (Gold) rarity treasures are now displayable in your Treasure Room.

     

⚙️ Loadout System Update

  • New customizable loadouts for quick purchase
  • Added Loadout Code system to share/import skill, mastery, and gear presets.
  • Increased Set Ticket cap; overflow converts to gold automatically.

     

👥 Social Features Update

  • Removed forced rename after account creation.Players can rename via the profile page (1st rename free).
  • At Level 10, Rename Card can be purchased weekly from the Merchant.
  • Friends can be starred and pin to top of friend list
  • Can gift gold to 10 friends daily (no cost to the sender). Players can receive up to 10 gold gifts daily.
  • Add remarks to friends for easy reference.
  • Guild creation cost adjusted to 100,000 gold.
  • New UI for team display on the main game screen.
  • Added Quick Chat for teams.

     

🎒 Inventory and Storage Update

  • New Treasure Pouch: Items stored here won’t drop on death.
  • New Keyring: Keys stored are preserved after death.
  • New Warehouse Page: Unlock more via Bonfire Camp > Storeroom to organize loot better.

     

🧾 Quest System Rework

  • Over 200 new quests added 
  • Completing quest milestones grants chapter rewards, including Mythic gear.


 

🔒 Anti-Cheat System Update

  • Improved detection speed and logic for faster and accurate enforcement.
  • Ban reasons now shown via in-game notifications and mail.
  • Report interface updated to allow tagging specific cheat types.

     

🗺 Map and Marker Enhancements

  • Guidelines: Marked locations now show navigational paths in the environment.
  • Rescue Ping: Teammates can ping their downed location. Responding marks it on your map.
  • Floor Display: Map adjusts visuals based on your floor level (underground dimming effect).
  • New Underground Areas:

    • Lotha Kingdom: Coronation Square
    • Dark Cave Port: Gloomy Grotto - Enter through the abyss gate (red portal) 

       
  • When marking underground area spots in the mini-map, guidelines will direct you through the nearest abyss gate (red portal) first.

     
  • Quest List Improvements:

    • Quest status displays: Ready-to-complete / Location-based / Completed quests
    • Marked quest locations are shared with teammates.

       
  • Random Portals: Now always visible on the map.

     

📣 In-Game Broadcast Improvements

  • Optimizations for simultaneous broadcast handling.
  • Removed non-teammate kill/elite notifications to reduce clutter.
  • Added Combat Broadcasts: clearer feedback for kills and assists.

     

🖥 HUD and UI Enhancements

  • Improved visibility across all environments.
  • HUD Top-Left now shows current game profit summary.
  • Weapon slots no longer differentiate primary/secondary — two switchable slots remain.
  • Removed Meditation button.
  • HUD Presets: Two fully customizable setups now available.

    • Includes toggles for skill cast bars, stamina bar.

       
  • Enemy Info Display:

    • HP bars now appear after damaging enemies.
    • Elite monster and Boss names remain visible.
    • Red flash effect added when monster aggro is triggered.
    • Damage numbers and visual feedback improved.

       

💬 In-Game Social and Chat Enhancements

  • Universal Marker Wheel:

    • Hold to open marker wheel with quick commands.
    • Double-tap for instant “Danger” ping.
    • Expanded marker set and smarter display logic.

       
  • Multilingual Voice Chat: Quick messages now have voice lines in multiple languages.

     
  • Chat UX Improvements:

    • Add custom quick chat messages.
    • View chat history during matches.
    • Expanded quick message library, cleaner layout, and better notifications.

       

📦 Loot, Interact and Sharing Improvements

  • Auto Pickup Options:

    • Configurable per difficulty.
    • Auto-collect Ancient Kingdom Coins, high rarity equipment, consumables.
    • Support unified pickup for spoils box and items on ground.

       
  • Auto Replace: Automatically equips better gear; replaced items can be stored or dropped.
  • Items matching your settings will be highlighted for pickup.
  • Inspect and Animation: Improved UI and animations for viewing item info.
  • High Value Alerts: Full backpack? Valuable items will be specially marked.
  • Consumable Wheel and List: Use via radial menu or detailed list.
  • Auto Interact Disabled in Combat to avoid disruption.
  • Auto Sort: Double-tap item when nearly full to auto-organize and make space.
  • Loot Team Broadcast: Unneeded high-value loot in chests is auto-broadcasted with teammates.

     

📜 Match History and Loot Record

  • New tab in match history: Adventure Gains

    • View what items you extracted and their total value.

       

💎 Profit Rating and Mythic Treasure Showcase

  • New Profit Rating System with 9 tiers, up to SSS Grade.

    • Live rating and level-up effects shown on HUD top-left.

       
  • Players looting Mythic (Red) rarity treasures will trigger:

    • Special celebration effects
    • A “Show Off” button in the backpack that lets you broadcast the loot to teammates

       

☠️ Death Damage Breakdown

  • When you die, you can now view a detailed source breakdown of the damage that killed you — during spectate or before match ends.
