Gold&Glory S2 Patch Note

Hello Hunters — Gold and Glory’s brand new season S2: WINTER WRATH will launch on December 9! This major seasonal update brings a new chapter of adventures: new heroes, redesigned systems, fresh gameplay, and lots of new items.

Treasure and ranked progress have been reset; other items remain in your account. Get ready for S2: WINTER WRATH! 

 

Major optimizations addressing top player concerns

Combat smoothness improvement

  • Improved basic attacks and weapon skills for better feel on the following weapons: Knight’s Sword & Shield, Crystal Sword, Recurve Bow, Heavy Crossbow, and Light Crossbow.
  1. Basic action acceleration: greatly increased responsiveness for using potions and switching weapons.
  2. Skill-interrupt improvement: skills can now more reliably cancel normal-attack windup and recovery.
  3. Mobility skill improvement: movement skills better place you in front of targets; fixed cases where movement skills could lead to getting stuck in certain locations.
  4. Skill targeting box improvement: clarified attack ranges and added clearer indicators showing whether a skill can hit enemies for certain skills.
  5. Aim-assist improvement: fixed camera jitter when firing ranged weapons.
  6. Skill-cancel cooldown adjustment: for some skills, if they are interrupted during windup the skill cooldown will be refunded.

 

Teamup match experience optimizations

  • Added exclusive loot feature: on the basis of keeping free allocation of general map resources, we’ve added personal drops for high-tier loot. In high-tier chests, elite monsters (Scorching Shadow, Gargoyle Lord, etc.), bosses (Queen Diana,  Eric Lotha), and limited-time events, exclusive loot will be generated for each teammate when the chest is opened or monster is killed — everyone gets an individually claimable drop.
  • Added rally command and guidance: quickly summon teammates to your position; teammates can quickly respond and a guiding line will appear to lead them to the caller.
  • Added teammate position mark guidance: quick-mark on the map with a guiding line to a teammate’s position to follow.
  • Tactical command improvements: introduce a new slidable command bar on the HUD right side showing visible command buttons — tap to send the command immediately.
  • Guiding lines support bare-point markers: place a marker and a guide line will appear to lead you wherever you want.
  • Added new triggered messages: quick encouragement, praise, and status-share messages after completing various in-match events.
  • Added In-match teammate panel: you can now view teammates’ real-time in-match info with options to add friends or report.
  • In-game voice system optimization: now supports controlling listening volume of teammates’ microphones.
  • Teammate info bar optimization: now shows whether a teammate is inside a Red Gate or not.

 

Rich new content bringing thrilling winter adventure

Winter is here — the brand new Winter Wrath season begins. The dungeons have transformed with new environments, ice-themed character and weapon skins, and a wealth of snowy seasonal in-game events and gameplay waiting for you to explore.

New Hero

  1. Ronin Okita: “Dark as night — silence falls with every step.”

Okita excels at traversing the battlefield, using a katana to deal damage, and shadow step and sword wave to close in and stun enemies.

  • Unlock condition: Ronin is obtained at Hunter’s Proof level 20.

 

  1. Oracle Isandra: “When the wind and snow whisper… you listen”

Isandra is a powerful support who uses frost magic to control enemies and revive near-death teammates to fight again. 

  • Unlock condition: Available to purchase in the hero page for 20,000 gold after reaching “Apprentice Hunter I” in the Hunter’s Trial.

 

New Monster

   (1)Eric Lotha: He has returned — Eric Lotha, former king of Lotha! The horn of winter blows again; the Everlasting King stirs beneath the ice… A brand-new challenge awaits. Head to Kingdom Lotha in multiplayer Challenge and Inferno modes to face him!

   (2)Gargoyle Lord Karu: Scarlet corruption and thorn bindings awaken a once-proud magical construct of the Lotha royal house — Gargoyle Lord Karu. He appears in single-player Kingdom Lotha and watches every hunter closely.

   (2)New Monster attribute - Resilience: To improve combat pacing and strategy, we added a new Monster Resilience system to certain elite monsters

  • Attacks reduce a monster’s resilience, and control skills reduce resilience even more
  • When resilience is broken, the monster is stunned and takes increased damage

 

Nw Gameplay

   (1)Sword in the Stone: The “Sword in the Stone” event can spawn In Kingdom Lotha and Dark Cave Port on Challenge and Inferno mode. Players must seize the Sword in the Stone that appears on the map and carry it to the goddess statue to submit. Completion grants large rewards and guarantees a special item used to draw season-limited skins and treasures

  • While carrying the Sword in the Stone, the carrier gains:
    • Greatly increased damage to normal, elite, and boss monsters.
    • Monsters in the domain will not auto-attack the carrier.
    • Reduced movement speed.
    • The carrier’s position is revealed on the full map.

 (2)Time-limited events: New limited-time event gameplay opens during the season. A wondrous Miracle Tree and odd Goblin Barrels await in the realm; rumor has it cheeky Snowman Tricksters will appear for a short time.

  • All limited-time events have a higher chance to drop season-limited winter treasures.

 (3)Winter Tangled Treasure: This season’s tangled treasure is upgraded to Winter theme with much higher chances to drop winter treasures. 

Anti-cheat upgrade ensuring fair gaming environment

  1. Added new cheat-detection strategies to improve detection accuracy and cover more types of cheats
  2. Expanded compensation coverage for players affected by cheat-assisted damage

 

Other optimizations improving dungeon exploration experience

Hero Balance Adjustment

  1. General changes:
  • Most ultimate skill cooldowns have been reduced.
  • Damage to most hero skills has been rebalanced.
  • Hero abilities are balanced separately for single‑player mode.
  • All skill lifesteal effects now only work at 50% effectiveness when hitting monsters.
  • Adjusted armor and magic resistance and item affix values to enable weapons to deal more damage.
  • Reduced attack movement slow for all weapons.
  • Strengthened item affix effects on Mystic‑quality weapons.


 

  1. Warrior Roland:
  • Added new hero talent effect: "Killing a player restores 30% of max HP."
  • Balanced Mastery III: changed to "Increases Physical Damage by 10% when using Sword Weapons."
  • Solid Mastery Ⅱ: changed to "While blocking, gain major damage reduction and ignore its Movement penalty." 
  • Solid Mastery III: changed to "Increases 10 Magic Resistance for each enemy treasure hunter that appears nearby."
  • Berserker Mastery Ⅱ: changed to "Defeating a treasure hunter refreshes the cooldown of Deathblow instantly."


 

  1. Ranger Arya:
  • Assault Mastery Ⅱ: changed to "When using Crossbow-type weapons, damage to nearby enemies is increased."


 

  1. Curse Knigh Kazimirt:
  • Bloodlust Mastery Ⅱ: "Crippling Strike reduces the enemy's healing received for 3s."
  • Rampage Mastery I: changed to "Whirling Spikes grants 50% Lifesteal effect."
  • Rampage Mastery III: changed to "Use Polearm Weapons to reduce the Movement penalty"


 

  1. Plague Doctor Ignatius:
  • Serenity Potion now reduces the cooldown of the Mix Potion.
  • Dark Raven adjusted to a 2‑charge skill.


 

  1. Wizard Elio:
  • Ice Pillar can now be destroyed.


 

  1. Weapon:
  • Reworked the weapon skill for the Broadsword Cleaver.


 

Map 

  • Kingdom Lotha high-value chests now have multiple distribution patterns so each run is different.
  • New random events added in Kingdom Lotha and Dark Cave Port; some areas now have sudden event triggers.
  • New tactical items in Kingdom Lotha:
  • Snow Wall Orb: creates an ice wall at a targeted location. Walls block damage, sight, and movement; they have HP and can be destroyed.
  • Snow Buddy Orb: spawns a snowman trap on the ground; passing players are briefly turned into spinning snowmen.
  • New traps in Kingdom Lotha:
  • Ice Walls: attackable snowman’s head lanterns on walls can activate ice walls that block movement and attacks. Ice walls have HP and can be destroyed.
  • Frost Crystals: intermittently emit frost that freezes the ground; frozen ground slows players. Effects are temporary.
  • Several rooms in Kingdom Lotha have been reworked for richer combat.
  • Key-room chest distribution optimized to increase the overall value of the room
  • Add extraction animation in Kingdom Lotha.
  • Reworked the appearance of key-room doors.
  • Optimized chest visuals in Kingdom Lotha.
  • Dark Cave Port will unlock Challenge mode  at level 17.
  • Dark Cave Port extraction points now require players to wait for a period before extraction completes.
  • General collision optimizations across maps.

 

Treasure 

  • Added many themed treasures such as Ice Dragon Statue, Voice of the Fallen Kingdom, Sanctuary Ice Crystal Lamp, etc., to discover.
  • Improved presentation of collection progress rewards.

 

Treasure Pouch and Keyring

  • Added onboarding guide: when upgrading the Hunter’s Warehouse in camp and first unlocking Treasure Pouch / Keyring, a popup explains their functions.
  • In-match keyring rule change: keys can now be deposited and retrieved from a keyring while in the match.
  • Expiry optimization: improved popup with a “one-click handle” button to clean up Treasure Pouch / Keyring contents.

 

Rank

  • New rank: Legend placed between Diamond and Glory.
  • Soul Dagger appearance changes with rank upgrades.
  • Ranked scoring optimized: first kill in a match grants additional rank points.
  • Normal mode rank points cap raised to Platinum.

 

Hero Power

  • Added Hero Power rating in the hero page. Improve your best heroes to compete for higher honor.

 

Settlement

  • Optimized extraction success animations and settlement UI.
  • Added Adventure Review and loot settlement so hunters can review the run path and key events.
  • Rare loot ranking shown at settlement will reset each season

 

Match History

  • Fixed bug where match history couldn’t show teammate data — now you can view teammates’ stats in history. 

 

Quest System

  • Added new quests available and accessible from the quest screen.
  • Optimized Quest UI. 

 

Emote 

  • Added lobby emote playback so players can choose lobby emotes they prefer.
  • Added 8 new in-match emotes and 1 new lobby emote.
  • Added rank-dagger emotes for in- and out-of-match that scale with player rank. 
  • Added a treasure celebration emote: when you obtain a high-quality treasure for the first time in a run, an auto-triggered celebration plays

 

Mini Map

  • New dynamic map resource bar: the large map now only shows elements relevant to the current floor.
  • Map element drop preview: tap items on the large map to preview possible chest/monster drops.
  • Room transition polish: entering new rooms/regions now have clearer SFX and motion cues.
  • In-match UI additions: backpack shows remaining match time.
  • Weapon-special-skill buttons improved to show the weapon icon.
  • Keys can be clicked to show their exact map position; the large map can show all key-room icons.
  • Corpses and loot from killed enemies/elite monsters show loot icons on the map.

 

Camp System

  • Optimized facility upgrade UI: better preview of post-upgrade benefits.
  • Optimized One-click fill popup. 
  • Optimized Level unlock and upgrade benefits preview. 

 

Fragments

  • Adjusted stack limits for equipment fragments
  • epic equipment can now also break into fragments when a player is defeated.

 

Item Usage Info

  • Most loot now shows its uses in the item detail screen (e.g., collection, camp upgrade, forging). 

 

Trade 

  • Bulk-sell in the warehouse is upgraded to “Bulk Process”: it auto-sorts recommended items to sell to merchants or list on the market, and marks materials and treasure.

 

Loot

  • Ore in the realms now has a small chance to drop legendary/mystic-quality equipment/armor fragments when smashed.
  • A batch of new loot has been added.
  • With the opening of Dark Cave Port Challenge mode, some drops in the original Dark Cave Port Normal mode were slightly adjusted.
  • Most items that can be submitted to the treasure collection now have dedicated drop sources.
  • Added a soul dagger item which can be obtained after defeating opposing players and can be sold to merchants.

 

Costume

Wardrobe system improvements

  • Outfit entry: equip a full skin set with one click.
  • Skin acquisition channel info improved: added jump-to-acquisition functionality so a locked skin can link to its obtain location.
  • Skin preview & obtain screen updated: full-set preview and obtain screen added, and one-click apply.

 

Female Hero Resources

  • Updated hero hairstyles.
  • Added female-specific empty-hand animations, selection animations, lobby gestures, and many weapon-specific animations for female models.

 

Extraction

  • Adjusted the display of single and triple extraction portal to be the same random portal
  • Random extraction portals in multiplayer now allow up to 3 players to extract together.
  • Random extraction portals now have a preview state before first generation, showing that they cannot be activated during preview.
  • After generation, random extraction portals enter a closing countdown state. When "extraction slots are full" or the "close time" is reached, the portal closes.
  • Random portals can be reactivated after closing, with a cooldown and activation limit. If activation count is exhausted, the portal permanently closes.
  • Single-portal spawn behavior adjusted to spawn randomly within a safe zone.
  • Adjusted the timeout-caused extraction-failure animation.

 

Top-Up Function

  • Added a new Shop System: players can buy various cosmetic goods now in the shop.
  • Added a new Hunter’s Proof system: players can earn rich rewards (hero/weapon skins, in-match emotes, etc.) through daily activity. Purchasing the Proof of Elite or Proof of Legend unlocks extra premium rewards.
  • Added a new Privilege Card system: paid players will receive daily free gift packs, increased market listing limits, more treasure pouch slots, more keyring slots, exclusive profile badge, and other perks.
  • Note: Guest accounts cannot top up. To ensure your account safety, please bind your account first. 

 

Others

  • Adjusted in-game fonts for better readability.
  • Added a game logo display.
  • Upgraded sound system 
    • Introduced the HDR dynamic mixing system, making sound effects in team battle scenarios clearer and more impactful.
    • Added new sound effects and voice lines for each hero and monster to enhance character expressiveness.
    • Added exclusive background music for various lobby interfaces.
    • Introduced audio pitch angle functionality, making footsteps and environmental sounds at different heights more realistic.
    • Richer loot and reward sound effects to enhance players' sense of achievement.
    • More diverse tactical voice lines to help teammates communicate efficiently.
